Still smiling: Lindsay Lohan leaves a Los Angeles restaurant on October 12 Lindsay Lohan has cancelled her highly-anticipated interview with Barbara Walters, it has been claimed. The troubled actress, who recently hired a new publicist in the wake of several personal scandals, will not sit down with the veteran anchor because her team was not happy with the direction ABC wanted to take the interview, Deadline.com reports. The 20/20 segment was due to air on November 16. A source meanwhile told E! NewsWalters visited the set of Lohan's new Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick after production began earlier this year. The actress is believed to have sat down with Walters for some interviews during that time. The segment would have been part of a prime-time special, according to the report. Lohan this week hired high-powered Hollywood firm Rogers & Cowan to represent her after she was dropped by publicist Steve Honig late last month, E! reports. Honig, who began representing her in early 2011, would not discuss details regarding his resignation. TMZclaimed at the time he had enough of representing the star after a failed intervention orchestrated by Lohan's father, Michael, on October 19. Michael Lohan claimed his daughter's team of handlers were supportive of his efforts to get her into rehab. Lohan's manager, two of her lawyers and Honig denied they were involved in its organisation. Her account is said to conflict with accounts given to police by eyewitnesses and the actress' assistant. Prosecutors were expected to file formal charges against the star this week. It could mean more jail time for the actress, who is currently on probation after she was found guilty of stealing a necklace from a Los Angeles jewellery boutique in January 2011. She was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for that incident.
